Camping is in-tents!

About a month ago, my sister and I put the plans to go camping in motion. She nor Montana have ever spent the night "roughing" it. Some friends of Jen's thought camping was a great idea and joined us; we all settled on the first weekend in November. (None of us thought about the first weekend in November also being the last weekend in October ...HALLOWEEN...) Nothing "terrible"y exciting happened, so all you are left with are a few fun pictures from our over-nighter.

Today we took a short hike to the Falls...

And how did Montana do in the tent? She and Jen were up every couple of hours, and every time there was an odd noise (which, to a city dog who lives in an apartment in Buckhead Atlanta... there's a bunch of odd noises!) she'd let out a small "woof...woof..." Overall though, I think it was a fun first experience for the newbies. And as for me, I was thrilled to see some great foliage and get out of the city for a while!! And, just for fun, here's 5 ways we "roughed" it...

5. No microwaves or ovens, just stove tops and fire pits.
4. No refrigerators, just coolers.
3. No heater in our 50 degree collapsable house (tent).
2. Slept on the ground in a sleeping bag.
1. Had to walk about 50 yards to use a toliet.
