Yeah, I used to do the whole NAtional BLOg POsting MOnth aka NaBloPoMo... But I think it was November 3rd before I realized oh hey, it's November, National Blog Posting Month, and I'm already 3 days behind. Oops. Guess my blog-readers are out of luck this year... Ha!
Now, here it is the 11th, and I'm just getting around to posting something. It has been a crazy couple of weeks. For starters, for anyone who doesn't know... My sister bought a house and I'm moving! I am hoping to get all of my stuff moved out of Marietta and into the house by the first week in December. Meanwhile, I've been helping my sister move... and then visiting doctor after doctor after doctor...
Our New House

So about the doctors... Around March, I had what I thought was an allergic reaction to the cleaner in tanning beds. Then, after some visits to the doctor, it was decided that I had developed eczema. I was on and off of prednisone to treat it when it got really bad... Then, this week, after a couple of virtually sleepless nights due to itching, I was back at the doctor's office first thing Tuesday morning. After a shot and yet another referral (had already been to a dermatologist) now it was on to an allergist. Luckily I was able to be seen by the allergist Tuesday morning as well, and they referred me to a diagnostics place to get EIGHT vials of blood drawn for testing. Now, we wait. 4 weeks apparently. I am just praying something conclusive will come out from the blood tests! They are testing for all food and environmental allergens.
I am happy to say that after yesterday's shot, and the 1..2..3..4..5 medications I'm taking now.... I'm day 2 itch free! *sigh* I promise my next post will be a little more interesting ;-)
