Beautiful Weekend!

I know you all might not enjoy cloudy, overcast days, but they are my favorite! Saturday I went to re:group at Buckhead Church and positively loved it. I learned a lot, and just love being a part of that church! Saturday afternoon my parents came into town and we all went out to dinner before kind of crashing in the evening. Sunday, after church at Noonday, my family (all of us...) hiked Kennesaw Mountain. Because we all (Mom, Dad, Jennifer, Montana, Nike & Murphy) went together, I decided to skip bringing my camera, thinking 3 pups would keep my hands too busy for a camera. The air was cool and crisp and the sun was warm when it peeked out every now and then... A positively perfect day.

This may have been the first time my family has ever hiked together! After the hike, we went to eat at one of our favorite restaurants... Cracker Barrel. The food always hits the spot and isn't it always fun to look around the store? They have Halloween stuff, Thanksgiving stuff and of course, Christmas stuff. I love it. I know most people are appalled at how early stores bring out Christmas stuff, but truth be told...
Last weekend, when I was on my way to the mountain, I listened to Christmas music the Whole. Way. There. 3 solid hours (and then some) of all my favorites. And, I spritzed my "Christmas Tree" (made for the car) air freshener. Yep, sure did!
...I can't get enough. I'll wait another month or two to bring out my Christmas candles (and probably at least a month before I buy a new one from Woodwick Candles called Frasier Fir), but only because I am in love with Yankee Candle's Autumn Wreath candle. Whaddya know... Cracker Barrel was having a sale! on the Autumn Wreath candle. Buy one, get one 1/2 off. What a deal, right? Daddy couldn't pass that one up... ;-) ...Jen, being as witty as she is: "I'm trying to save money, so I get the 1/2 priced one!" After lunch/dinner, we went back to my apartment, where Jen picked up Montana and went home... and where Mom & Dad packed up and headed back to Tennessee. I got a little homesick, but once I lit my new candle, opened up the windows to let in the cool, fresh air, and curled up on the couch, I lost myself in the book I was reading and it was about 11pm when I decided it was time to go on to bed.

Fun day... Great weekend. This is just one of the many reasons I love fall!
